John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) last week announced that Brian Sims has been named general manager of the company’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn. With 27 years of hospitality experience, Sims returns to JQH to oversee day-to-day operations of the 250-suite hotel located in the thriving Cool Springs Corporate Centre Office Park. Springfield, Mo.-based JQH is a leading private, independent owner and manager of hotels in the United States, including operating more than 1 million square feet of superb meeting space.
Most recently, Sims served as senior regional director of operations for O’Reilly Hospitality Management, where he helped to grow the company’s hotel and restaurant portfolio, ranging from Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Wyndham and independent-branded properties. Sims is one of 10 individuals included in the inaugural Circle of Leadership for the DoubleTree by Hiilton brand, which focuses on individualized training and leadership development to support the brand’s service culture. His career also includes 11 years with JQH in the roles of general manager and assistant general manager at full service properties in Arkansas, Missouri and West Virginia. Sims is actively involved in local Rotary Clubs and Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

Located at 820 Crescent Centre Drive in Cool Springs Corporate Centre Office Park, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South Cool Springs in Franklin, Tenn., is near several major businesses.
