Groupize, the award-winning provider of innovative small meetings management solutions has announced a key partnership agreement with Concur® (Nasdaq: CNQR), the global leader in integrated travel and expense management.
Groupize is teaming up with Concur to offer an integrated solution that empowers corporate administrators and travel arrangers with precise traveler profile data and visibility into traveler stays. This holistic approach promotes savings, compliance and supports duty of care programs. In addition to small meeting sourcing, Groupize also allows travel arrangers to book up to nine sleeping rooms in real time, which are immediately available in Concur. Not only do travel managers have visibility into traveler whereabouts and spend, travelers stays are integrated into their Concur itinerary for an easier travel and expensing experience.
Additionally, with Groupize, corporations can create a unique booking website for each event or meeting, and automate registrations seamlessly. Pairing with Concur traveler profiles and pushing back to itineraries for specific groups or meetings enables organizations to get visibility into their true spend and delivers better controls in the organization.
According to recent Phocuswright research, two-thirds of meetings in a corporation are under fifty participants and up to eighty percent of small groups and meetings are bypassing managed travel programs, regardless of policies or procedures. The new Groupize integration with Concur is designed to solve this growing problem. The integration addresses the industry’s demand for an integrated self-service solution for corporate travel arrangers to source, book, track, and manage small groups and simple meetings in a centralized and controlled process all while staying within corporate policy and supporting corporate duty of care programs.
Peter Kraus, senior director for Concur commented, “Keeping track of spending around small meetings can be a challenge for our corporate partners. By enabling frictionless self-booking with central oversight at an enterprise-level, our clients can finally gain the visibility to reign in their unmanaged spend. We are thrilled that Groupize will be among the esteemed apps in the Concur Cloud ecosystem.”
According to Charles de Gaspe Beaubien, Groupize chief executive officer, “Most companies do not have visibility into the frequency or costs associated with this category of travel. Small meetings present a tremendous opportunity for savings and compliance. The mobile-optimized tool delivers efficiency, savings, data and compliance for groups, simple meetings, off-sites, projects, work crews, and extended stays. We are confident that our collaboration with Concur will deliver the best experience and value to their enterprise clients.”
Groupize will be available in the Concur App Center which helps businesses and travelers discover applications that deliver significant value to the enterprise as well as to the business traveler.
