Hilton (NYSE:HLT) yesterday announced that it has one of the most active pipelines in Germany, and has reached an historical high in terms of hotels in its pipeline. Following strategic partnerships with Primestar Hospitality GmbH, Foremost Hospitality GmbH and tristar GmbH, which will facilitate the rapid roll out of its focused service Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands, six hotels are due to open this year, totalling an investment of more than €120 million. Five cities are set to host their first Hilton hotel in the coming years.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Hilton said "Hilton's pipeline in Germany is active, with the majority of our 17 pipeline hotels under construction. This year, we're preparing to open new focused service hotels in six major cities - Freiburg, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Aachen and Dortmund - and over the next 2-3 years we will quadruple the number of trading Hampton by Hilton properties in Germany."

Hampton by Hilton Freiburg
The €18.2 million Hampton by Hilton Freiburg is currently being constructed as part of the redevelopment of Freiburg's former cargo railway terminal. The wider mixed-use development includes office, retail, residential and manufacturing space. Slated to open in 2017 the hotel has 175 guest rooms and will be situated at Gueterhallenstrasse 39, Freiburg. Hampton by Hilton Freiburg will be managed by Primestar Hospitality GmbH.
Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre
Expected to open this summer, Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre will have 161 guest rooms. Set 100 metres from Hamburg's main train station, the hotel is in walking distance of Hamburg city centre's main attractions around the river Alster and Jungfernstieg. Hampton by Hilton Hamburg City Centre is situated at Sonninstrasse, 20097, Hamburg and will be managed by Foremost Hospitality GmbH.
Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Alexanderplatz
Hampton by Hilton Berlin City Alexanderplatz will be the largest Hampton by Hilton hotel in the world when it opens this summer. The hotel is situated less than 400 metres from the popular Alexanderplatz square, in the heart of Berlin and the German capital's prime business district. The hotel joins three Hilton properties currently trading in the German capital and will be joined by Hampton by Hilton Berlin City East in the summer of 2018. Totalling €32 million investment the hotel will include 344 guest rooms and be situated on the corner of Otto-Braun-Strasse and Mollstrasse, Berlin. Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre
Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre is set to open in the autumn and will include 167 guest rooms. Joining four Hilton properties already operating in Germany's financial capital, the hotel joins a pipeline of two hotels which includes Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt City Centre East and Hampton by Hilton Frankfurt Airport. Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre is located between the financial district and the main train station at Weserstrasse 43-49, Frankfurt. Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre will be managed by Foremost Hospitality GmbH.
Hampton by Hilton Aachen Tivoli
Situated a hundred metres from Tivoli Stadium, the home of football club Alemannia Aachen, and the huge Eurogress congress centre, Hampton by Hilton Aachen Tivoli will provide quality accommodation to event and business tourists to the area when it opens in the autumn. The 164 guest room hotel includes €18 million investment and will be located on the corner of Krefelder Strasse and Merowinger Strasse, Aachen. Hampton by Hilton Aachen Tivoli will be managed by tristar GmbH.
Hampton by Hilton Dortmund Phoenix See
The 128 guest room Hampton by Hilton Dortmund Phoenix See is located adjacent to German regional bank Sparkasse's new national training centre. Phoenix-East industrial estate is also within walking distance of the hotel which is slated to open towards the end of this year. Hampton by Hilton Dortmund Phoenix See includes more than €15 million investment and will be located at Fassstrasse, 44263 Dortmund-Horde. Hampton by Hilton Dortmund Phoenix See will be managed by tristar GmbH.
Within its pipeline of 17 hotels in Germany, Hilton is set to introduce additional properties in locations such as Konstanz, Munich, and Stuttgart.
