Lights On Digital, a leading Honolulu-based digital marketing and revenue optimization firm, announces a new partnership with Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts to manage the Kauai Shores Hotel on the Royal Coconut Coast in Kapaa.
Lights On Digital has achieved record performance across key metrics since assuming digital marketing and revenue optimization responsibilities on June 1, 2017.
“We have worked closely with Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts to ensure a seamless management transition that has focused on strengthening the brand and building occupancy,” said Lights On Digital President Patrick Ahler. “The launch of a redesigned website, new marketing strategies, and a renewed focus on providing an unparalleled guest experience have helped us surpass expectations from the start. We look forward to continuing our synergy with Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts to position Kauai Shores as a leading boutique hotel destination in Hawaii.”
Highlights for the four-month period from June-September include:
- Overall room revenue jumped to nearly $2.3 million from $2.02 million.
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR) improved by more than 13 percent year-over-year.
- Occupancy grew to nearly 80 percent from 71.6 percent.
“Lights On Digital perfectly complements our strengths at Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts, and these initial financial results speak volumes,” said Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts President Tom Bell. “We look forward to our continued work together to enhance the destination through industry-leading management strategies and a superior guest experience.”
Lights On Digital recently announced the opening of a new office at 1050 Queen Street in Kakaako to accommodate the company’s growth into markets throughout the U.S. mainland and international locations. The company represents 1,500 rooms across 25 properties, including landmark destinations like Maui’s Hotel Wailea and Vermont’s Twin Farms.
By pioneering a hybrid model of digital marketing and revenue optimization services, Lights On Digital has opened up a range of options for previously underserved independent hotels, resorts and micro-chains. Over the past year, the company earned high-profile recognition for its innovative website design work, including two prestigious 2016 Adrian Awards from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI); a 2017 Pele Award from the Hawaii Chapter of the American Advertising Federation; and two Horizon Interactive Awards.
Featuring recently renovated rooms, the contemporary boutique Kauai Shores Hotel (previously the Kauai Sands Hotel) provides a prime location to enjoy shopping experiences, beaches, and Kauai’s breathtaking natural, cultural and historic landmarks.
