Nassau Airport Development Company is seeking EOIs for the design, financing, construction and operation of an on-airport hotel and multi-purpose facility at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA).
Opening in 2021, the resort is set on the site of a former sugar cane plantation with gentle hills rolling down to a long stretch of sandy beach fronting the Caribbean Sea. All of the projected 70 pool villas and The Retreat enjoy sea views .
In 2017, hotels in the Caribbean reported occupancy fell 1.2% to 66.4%, but ADR rose 1.9% to $204.64 to keep RevPAR positive (+0.7% to $135.85).
Reporting directly to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman, Rainer is an accomplished and highly-regarded hospitality executive with global operations and international finance experience, notably with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he served as executive vice president and CFO.
