The signature rooftop steakhouse at Central Florida's Five Diamond property secures culinary accolade for third year in a row

Perched atop the 17th floor of Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, Capa Steakhouse delivers an unparalleled fine dining experience as the Resort’s signature rooftop restaurant, now bolstered by its recognition for the third year with a one star rating in the Michelin Guide Miami, Orlando and Tampa. The awards were announced on April 18, 2024 at an event in Tampa, Florida.

“It's an honour to receive this recognition for the third year,” says Fabrizio Schenardi, Executive Chef of Four Seasons Resort Orlando, who attended the awards presentation event. “This rating is truly a testament to the hard work, dedication and constant innovation of our talented team of culinarians as well as our front-of-house servers and managers. I would also like to congratulate the Central Florida restaurants on the list who earned their first one Michelin star. We are all working in concert to elevate Orlando’s positioning as an exceptional dining destination.”

The Spanish-influenced steakhouse features a unique medley of expertly wood-fired prime cuts, New Basque-inspired small plates and fresh Florida seafood. The Michelin Guide says “calling Capa a steakhouse is like saying flamenco is just a dance. This stunning spot, reigning from the 17th floor of Four Seasons Orlando, is big on drama (and that's before the unrivalled views of the nightly Disney World fireworks show). From the subtle design nods to the menu, the Spanish influence is clear.”  The Michelin Guide recommends the Iberico Pluma served with almond romesco as a standout dish.

The delectable cuisine is matched only by the restaurant’s stunning ambiance. Capa boasts newly enhanced decor as well as an extensive wine program that emphasizes both regional specialties and global favourites, lending to being honoured with a “Best of Award of Excellence” in several Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards issues and being named among the Best 100 Wine Restaurants in the US by Wine Enthusiast magazine.

Capa also recently received recognition from the Embassy of Spain with the prestigious “Restaurants from Spain” certification.  The Restaurants from Spain certification recognizes quality, authentic restaurants in the US that represent traditional Spanish menu items and incorporate authentic products imported from Spain.  The certification committee found that Capa’s menu is comprised of 48 percent Spanish dishes, with descriptions in Spanish and English, and with the offerings including Spanish Iberico ham, charcuterie, Marcona almonds, sherry vinegar, Pimenton de la vera smoked paprika, and Spanish cheeses, the restaurant qualified for the certification. Additionally, Capa also carries a wine list with nearly 60 percent of wines from Spain, as well as some Spanish liqueurs. Capa also has several Spanish-speaking team members, another important criterion considered for certification.

Schenardi, along with Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber and Executive Sous Chef Matthew Vonderembse, have established Capa’s positioning and overall concept since the Resort’s opening in 2014. The team’s diverse backgrounds and skill sets have helped set the stage for gourmet dining in Central Florida, delivering extraordinary cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience.
